Hi guys, found this forum by sheer chance, and i'm hoping you guys will be able to help. I bought this tank from a friend, who got it from someone else, and we have no idea how to use the built-in filtration system.
There are two separate chambers at the back of the tank, each with its own pump. the problem is I have now idea what media to use in there... I believe this was a saltwater setup, but i would like to use the tank for tropical, as a number of people in our small mountain kingdom are having trouble with the water quality in their saltwater setups, but freshwater seems to be easier to regulate here. Please look at the
attached pictures and give me some ideas, as we don't have a single pet shop in the entire country I can turn to! I have to import my fish from South Africa when the tank is cycled, which could be a really huge hassle if I don't get it right first time round!
