That could be possible, had it happen to me with a fully stocked 55 gallon. I ended up making an emergency trip to wal-mart at 2am to buy a new one. WOOT! Talk about a fun time.

Anyway, if the leak can't be repaired, you can always just buy the same size tank as the one that leaks. That way you won't have to get a new stand ect.

Keep you're chin up, man! You will soon have a wonderful tank with happy finned friends and all will be well. After all, what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger! Hang in there!!

Fern

Maybe the tank is not leaking, but water is coming from under the filter. I sealed a possible leak and everything is ok, water and fish were in the tank. Awhile back I got up one morning to discover the water level was down about an inch, with water on the wall, tank and floor. After driving my self nuts trying to find the #$%$# leak, I got out the flashlight and went over every inch around the whole tank, no leak!!!! lucky for me, someone had posted a topic about drip lines so I checked all of them, and one was wet. The night before I had taken the big filter off the tank to clean, and where the propeller goes in to the filter, I had not set it back right, and it leaked. (takes awhile to clean up 1" of water from a 55 gal tank), so check the drip lines, maybe the leak isnt the tank.

Thanks for the tip, however we have since moved on to a new tank and are in the process of cycling now. The leaky tank will be used for hermit crabs. We believe we isolated the leak area, however, being inexperienced, I was afraid to try and repair it myself. I will keep your advice in mind should I have any more leak problems in the future.
