Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and have a question.
I am currently making my own 3d background and i'm at the part where i will be epoxy sealing it. well i bought epoxy and started putting my first coat when i realized there is no way this will be enough epoxy. i am now on the hunt for a bigger can of epoxy. i was looking at this garage concrete sealing epoxy. does anyone know if this is safe for the fish? the brand is seal krete and it's called epoxy-seal.

I'm a little out of my depth here as I have never used epoxy for aquarium applications (as yet ...)

Seal krete is an epoxy that has been designed to protect concrete against moisture. I am only guessing but I don't think this would be suitable for use in aquariums.

My recommendation would be to take the can to your nearest LFS and get them to examine the ingredients in seal krete. They will be able to confirm if this product is safe for aquarium use.

Having said that, I'm aware that there are epoxy products you can buy, that are made for aquarium use.
