Marineland C-360

Wow this canister filter works like a mule. I cant believe i waited this long to own one.
I got this filter back in feb. ever since my water has been super clean. My african cichlids are real messy eaters but that doesnt stop my C-360 from cleaning up they're mess. i had just upgraded from a hob filter from wally world man that thing was garbage. i have sand in my tank and everytime a fish stirred up the sand it got caught in the impeller and made a terrible noise that resulted in the impeller magnet rubbing the inside of the filter. You dont have that problem with this filter if sand does get in it is collected in the lower portion of the canister never reaching the impeller.

The only thing i dont like about this filter is that the instructions arent as clear as i would like for them to be, that or i just should have read more. lol i think thats what it was. I was so excited to get it up and running. I forgot to close one of the valves before opening it up and water went everywhere. but it wasnt too bad i learned my lesson and didnt do that again.

I highly recommend this filter its really easy and fast to clean.

Re: Marineland C-360

Hey 501 just noticed your post. I have a Marineland Magnum 350. I agree it is a workhorse and yes I did have some trouble with instructions but my biggest problem is I had the same "water went everywhere" due to no cutoff valve on my model. I ordered two valves from a dairy, so they are plastic, so it is easier to change and clean. Does your model have cutoffs on the in/out hoses? Thanks.

nah it just has the main cut off and i just pull it away from the canister under my tank. i think yours is the model before mine. now when i change my water i give my canister time to settle before i pull it apart now it just has a drop of water.
