Hydor Ario Turbo Air pumps....

Hey all!

I have been meaning to post this ever since this section was added to the forum, but better late than never, right?!?!?

Anyways, I bought four (4) of these air pumps in the middle of last summer because I was pretty much tired of listening to air pumps vibrating and I thought the added lighting feature was pretty cool (I have always been big on the whole moonlight type thing). In fact, I was so excited about these things that I spent the extra money to buy the largest model and I got all three colors (red, green, and blue).

However, when I put them in my tank, they only worked for about an hour....and it wasn't just one, it was all four of them. I even went as far as changing my entire aqua-scaping in order to make sure that they weren't too deep in the water but that didn't help at all. I basically played with them until I could not stand it anymore and sent off a diplomatic email to the manufacturing company but guess what? No response.

I am wondering if anyone else has used these air pumps/lights with any success and what the secret to keeping them working might be.

It is hard to believe that they can still be found. Like I said, I bought four of them about 6 or 7 months ago and so far everyone I have talked to say the same thing....they don't really work. Yet I see them at all of my LFS, so I was thinking there is something I don't know.
