Fluval 405 Canister

This is the fourth reply to this thread that I have posted and they have all disappeared. I am trying to find out from Tommy ****, regarding his comment . If you don't like or recommend the Fluval, then what do you feel is a better filter system?

I woulod buy the fluvol 405 I love it . I have it in my 90 gallon and my tank is crystal cleaaaaar my fish are bright and happy and growing. Yes and I have had fry.

yes i agree fluval makes a great filter so good i upgraded to the fx5 on my future 125 african mbuna set up. TG i have had the problem with micro bubbles on my old 305 also, however it was only when there was air pockets in the canister. i have been tilting it to the sides to get all the air out and i do that about every couple weeks. thats the only thing that i found to be a pain in the butt. i like how the fx5 has that ffeature where it shuts down for 2 minutes to expel any air in the canister. i agree with all fluval hands down.

I have a 405 on a 75 gal it does the job well. cichlids are still small now, we will se when they are full grown.

3 days with Fluval 205, so far so good. It was easy to put together, even I could do it

Its very quiet, I would forget its there if were not for the water return that I have 1/2 in the water and 1/2 on top of the water. I have heard thats a good idea for a SW tank.

Oh, I lied, I did have a problem, I had 2 suction cups left over. I had to look at the pictures again to see where they went

Power Outage and still worked is really good news.

I have little lock down clamps to close the filter, sounds better than screws. lol

I have a whole nother story about putting screws in.
