| Re: disaster Maybe it was the change in water temp. During one of my w/c, the water was warmer than I thought it was. The gourmis attacked and ate all but 2 neons. ( neons in that tank as temp holding place) They ate them so quick, by the time I could grab the net, it was too late. Tiger Barb also laid eggs next day, I think. So temp is more important than I thought. Im guessing, but I think the temp prob went up 4- 5 degrees. I was filling tank with Python, felt the hose go warm, too late by then. The neons are now living with Parrot Fish, and doing fine. so far.
If the fish floated to the top, some thing killed them quickly. I still find this a mystery.
