Filter maintenance

Anyone have any secrets on filter mainenance or media/ filter pads/floss etc. I use Tetra water conditioner to lube up pipes/tubeing on installation of canister filters it makes it so easy to get them to slip on and it`s not harmful to fish. It also works great on filter o-rings and seals.

Magnum 350 filters when installing is easier to prime when you turn the filter at an angle and (burp) let all the air out of the filter. I wouldn`t advise this on other filters.

Alright people give up those secrets!

So does saliva(LOL)

Always use a python to change water. I can change 30% of water in a 55 gal aquarium in less than 10 min.
