Raise/lower gh and KH

I don't have any problems with GH and KH but was just wondering what I would have to do to raise and lower GH and KH. Non chemical methods would be great.

Re: Raise/lower gh and KH

what is the reason to raise or lower your gh/kh ? i asked the same question becasue my kh is a little low and i was told not to worry about it i have a community tank and none of my fish really need specific levels of either. unless you are keeping angles who like softer water then i dont think its really neccesary.

Re: Raise/lower gh and KH

I have had problems with them in the past and it seems like they are starting to go off the norm again. So I am just looking for info that might help in the near future.

Greg, Ive been told by a lot of people not to change the ph, other wise, you will have to keep the changed level going all the time. buy fish that can handle the water you have. I took that advise and havent had a problem.

Good luck to you.
