Re: underground filter

Under Gravel Filters are very dated technology with a fatal flaw.

Power filters with Bio-wheels are the way to go on smaller tanks up to 75g However anything 55g or larger is a good candidate for a Cannister filter. Possibly both.....

Re: underground filter

i am no pro at all with cichlids, but form the reading on here, that answer would be NO!!! you will most likely wake up tomorrow with just cichlids in your tank, lol.

Gouramis, Angels, and Cichlids are all Freshwater fish. Angels are one of many species of Cichlid! Most Cichlids are territorial and as a result very aggressive. Some are Hyper-aggressive.

Even though Angelfish are cichlids, many cichlids cannot be mixed together either. It depends entirely on the specific species you are considering.

What size tank do you have?
What type of tank do you want?
What is your filtration?
What are the parameters of your local tap water? (pH, GH, KH)
