Ph problems

I have been having some trouble trying to keep the ph levels in my tanks somewhat reasonable. I have even tried using some correct ph tablets. I have a 29g fw tank. Are there any tips or tricks that would keep the ph at a reasonable level.

what do your water tests come out to? is it high or low? need to knw to give a good responce.

one of my tanks has a low ph and the other is high.

To help answer this question a complete set of water parameters would be very helpful. What specifically is the pH of the tanks? of the source water? What are the other water parms
