i think you need to keep the carbon out the tank till your done with treating.

If you are using the salt/heat treatment, you can keep the carbon in your filter media, but in this case, I think it would be best to change is more frequently in order to continually remove any coppersafe that may be left.

I want to Thank Everyone for there help and support again; Thank You all Esp. Tommy gun For the Forum and the advice. All Viewable spots r gone, But I think im loosing a loach. He`s Breathing Very Fast! Listless and actually let me cup him in my hand without any struggle . He`s Greying out and seems week. I`ll Keep Everyone up to date. Thnks. Bossman

I would wait a little while to be sure that the tank was clear of the ich parasite before putting in new fish. Personally I would want a minimum of 2 weeks after no visible symptoms.

I agree with Loman...better to get things ironed out before adding more fish. I don't think it is really any easier for scaleless fish like loaches to get ich over another fish, but it is probably a bit harder to treat them successfully. Besides, just the stress from being bought and transfered home is almost going to guarantee that ich would have a free target. Your other loach will be ok for that time.
