hazy water...floating algae? - Page 3

Ahhhh....if you haven't already done so, take some water out of your tank with a cup (preferably one you can see through) and look at the water under different types of light, including sunlight. Perhaps the problem is your light - maybe it is an old bulb or not the best bulb to be using according to your eyes. I have some before/after pictures of my SW tank after I bought a better light system and they show a pretty big difference...but as usual, I cannot find them right now.

i'll try that. but it better not be the lighting because i just bought this $200 system last week!

it's a T5-HO 78W fixture, 6700K...anyways, let me give a try to what you said.

see i was wondering the same thing if maybe its the type bulb i am using. i might try that trick with the cup. and when i stop all movement in the tank its still there too, so i know its not bubbles. i might also try to change food also.
