| Re: Ahh!!!!!!lost Almost All Fish!!!!!!! It happens, I hate it.... really not much you can do about it, or anything you can do to prevent it, on an early spring day right after a week in the 40's, the temperature jumped to 85, no AC on, since I was not expecting a temperature jump like that, I may have even had the heat on.... Anyways... with the combonation of the heat outside and my lights, my SW aquarium hit about 95 Degrees, lost quite a bit of coral, and a few fish.

| Re: Ahh!!!!!!lost Almost All Fish!!!!!!! It has happened to me to I had my MH hanging from the roof and I accidentally left them to close to the water then 2 days later 4 of my damsels dies and at least 5 gallons of water was evaporated I was glad my more expensive fish tend to stay in the rocks and near the bottom where it was cooler but mistakes happen to everyone you just have to get up and start over. better luck next time

| Re: Ahh!!!!!!lost Almost All Fish!!!!!!! That stinks. Happened to me once when a cat brushed against the heater and turned the temp up! Your post reminds me that I need to unplug the heater in my goldie tank for the rest of the summer! |
