goldfish problem

hi,i have a 70l tank with 4 small fancy goldfish and 2 medium size shibumkins it has a fluval +2 filter,problem is all the fancy goldfish where at the top all day 28.8.6 and this morning one was nearly dead at the bottom of tank took him out and put him in hospital tank and he recovered,shot down to the store and had water tested all levels are ok nitrate a little high but that is to be expected in a 6week old tank,anyway talking to the owner, i said i think i could do with an air pump and stone to increase oxygen so i bought one and set it up for a while all fancy goldfish moved all over tank but now they are back at the top gulping air,what could the problem be

Tank is 6 weeks old, when did the fish go in.?

What are the numbers your lfs said were ok?

hi jay,
seems like it was lack of oxygen as i got up this morning and all was well fish now spending more and more time in the mid water levels, i thought along that the fluval wasnt up to the job and i think that a little ?9.99 air pump and 6"air stone have saved the day
