| Re: Water change question. Sorry for the slow reply. Didn't have a test kit, so off we went to the Large, un-named pet superstore.
I failed to mention that the 3 fish are quite large and the 10 gal may have been too small, so we picked up a 20 gallon tank hoping that helps, 30X12X12.
I did a partial water change using a gravel vacuum cleaner, and the magnetic algae cleaner. After the cleaning, I used the test strips and came up with this,
No3: 40, No2: 1.0, Hardness: 120, Alkalinity: 80, PH: 6.4
So, spending the night reading up on setting up 20 gal tank. |
