| assassin snails i need assassin snails  but i dont have enough posts for the classifieds section.
my snails are over-running my tanks! common/gilled, mts, ramshorns, UGH!
all my plants are being eaten! |

| Re: assassin snails Pretty sure most loaches will eat up snails as well. You could also try throwing in some squash or cucumber tied to a rock. Turn the lights off and leave it in there for 20 minutes or so. It should be covered with snails before you know it. Grab it, throw it away, and repeat. This method is really tidious, but it can be an effective way to at least try to control the population of snails. |

| Re: assassin snails i'm not interested in any fish for the snails, i need a snail for the snails. My botia wont eat the MTS. Its a 75 gal tank so doing the whole veggie-on-a-string trick i think is nothing more than a waste of time for any full-blown snail infestation.
Nobody has any assassin snails? or knows how to get any? |

i currently have a bid going on ebay for 4 assassins for $21.00, free shipping
i'm kinda hopin i lose cuz i dont want to pay this much for a few snails, & am convinced i will find them atleast $5 cheaper from somebody throughout the different forums I go to :s |
