Anybody know of an easy way to make one of these yourself?

Re: Aquarium divider

G day,

I have only ever divided up my frog tank, and used a piece of perspex to make a wet and dry area. I just cut it to size and used a heap of silicon. It looked pretty messy. I cover most of it up with gravel. If I ever have to do it again I would use less silicon. With a tank divider i guess you would have to make holes in it so water can easily flow through, but obviously not the fish!

Just my thoughts

Yeah I got the one from petsmart, its a little cheap and flimsy but it does the job for the big fish, I wouldnt recommend using it for fry though because it doesnt fit perfectly and there would be enough room for them get through the sides.

Re: Aquarium divider

If somebody wanted a sturdy one you could probably get a piece of plexiglass cut to fit at a hardware store, drill holes in it about every inch or 2 inches. I bet you could fiddle with some suction cups and somehow attatch it to the glass with those. maybe some sort of clips could be used to secure it to the frame or glass tops at the top of the tank. I have not done it and not sure how to attatch the clips or suction cups but that would look nicer than those cheap flimsy ones, be more permanant and secure too for long term use. I will check out some DIY sites and see if i can come up with other ideas.
