Smile My 65gal canopy

Hello I just wanted to show you what I have done so far.

The stand I built

The begining of the canopy

The light

Painted the canopy but doors are not painted yet

Well when I get some more pics tomorrow all that I have left is to paint the inside white and paint the outside of the doors black.

What do you think so far.

Looks good, I would just make one suggestion on the trim going around the bottom. If you used a little bigger board it would cover the fake wood trim around the top of the tank and look a little better, or you could paint the trim black. Plus while you are still working on it why not go with a double light tube setup. It will make your tank look much better than just one.

Yes I will be painting the trim around the tank also because the stand doesnt cover the bottom trim either. I kinda ran out of money but I will be putting another light strip in it in about a week one will do for now. Any suggestions on what kind of paint to use on the inside of the canopy.

Re: My 65gal canopy

well it is done I put in another light strip and got it all painted. One problem though the bulb Ibought wont come on unless I wiggle it why is that. It is not the fixture because if I put it in the other one I have to do the same. How do I fix this problem. But you were right it does make the fish look better and the plants seem to be growing better.
After I redecorated

My new Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi

The finished canopy

What do you think

If you look at the pictures on the top of the tank, there is a little on in the house, or one that comes to visit. :-) the little plastic thingy keeps little hands from opening the door.
