| Filter for 55
I had a whisper 3 on a 55L. it kept the people's tank clean where I got it from but they didnt feed their fish. My tank stays green. i recently removed the Whisper 3 and put a H.O.T magnum 220(maybe 250). i filled the cannister with carbon. Will this be sufficent? I put it on yesterday and its not clear yet. i have an UGF in the tank and dont have any ammonia problems. Ill give it a few days then put the whisper 3 on with the HOT magnum. I have a fluval 404 I got with the purchase of my 125L, which Im making saltwater. I was gonna use the 404 on the SW tank but Im reading NO cannisters. They are Nitrate brewers. once I cycle that tank i might just switch the 404 onto my 55Freshwater. That should solve my problem.. Fish in 55.....Lima shovel nose, rainbow shark, 2 silver dollars. small size albino oscar(jumps out when im feeding it) Firemouth, huge pleco, and a clown knife(decent size). 1 angel and one gold Sevrum. Biggest fish in tank is lima, and clown. i had a 55 years ago with about the same amount of fish but much bigger. i had a supreme aquamaster filter, it was crystal clear. my filter box is cracked or Id use it and be done with it. im not really a fan of these new filters, I liked my aquamaster supreme. Any ideas where i can get a filter box for it? |
