...should i pop it?

I'm trojannemo's gf posting about my gourami... he's swimming normally, eating fine and all the fish in my tank look fine but it seems my gourami has developed what looks exactly to me like a pimple... does anyone know what this could be or what could have caused it? my tank is beautifully cycled and my parameters for the past few times I've checked them have been perfect (for my fish) so i'm clueless as to what could have caused this!!!! help please!

is it only one white spot? wait a couple days and see if more show up it could be the start of an ick outbreak and only showing one spot now. i can not think of what else it could be, but i'm not to familiar with fish diseases though. i would start to treat for ick any way to be on the safe side. with the heat salt method. good luck

somerton16...it is never good to "treat" for something you don't have! my fiancee has plants in her tank and doing the "salt and heat" thing would most likely kill them.
I am pretty sure it is not ich. i've had ich in my tank and this literally looks like a pimple. it is white and raised with a red rim around it...i'll try to take a picture tomorrow.

any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated folks
