dreadfull death

well i was changing water yesterday and today i see my old or we think old platy is dead and its spine is bent alot
like he is almost folded waat could be the problem we checked my water para and it was ok and my onther 2 platies r fine and swimming and my kuhli loaches r fine and my fry r fine
wat could it be i do not want it to happen to my other fish

did you look into a filter issue did he /she get caught some how you say folded?? or did you have some rearragement in the tank where she might have been stuck I am new to keeping fish indoors but have had gold fish and Koi in a pond out back for over 10 years (3 years first pond moved, 7 years now) only time we have fish double over is when they run afoul of equipment (doesnt happen often) maybe once every few years

I agree, the only time I've seen fish bend is when they got stuck to the filter intake. This could have happened before she died and it is possible, since your water checks out ok, that she died of old age. I don't think the life span of a platy is too long.
