ulcer looking thing..help!!

I have a 10 gallon aquarium with 4 red fin rosey tetras. All the water qualities are fine. I've had them for oh 6 months or so with no problems. They are eating, swimming normally. One fish has this ulcer, sore looking thing just in front of it's dorsal fin. It's about the size of a pin head, so it's easily noticed. Has a whiteish center, and a red ring around that. I thought it looked to big to be ick. I don't see anything else wrong with any of the fish. What is it and what should I do

if u think it is suffering kill him painlessly buy dipping him in vodka or alchahol or this is very risky and i am not asking u to do this but you can get a small sharp knife like a pocket knife and cut it of but i never had a problem like that so you dont have to try

Try dabbing the "spot" with a q-tip that was dipped in melafix. Don't kill the fish dear god...Isolate the fish if possible. I've had fish get lumps and have had lots of success with dabbing melafix on the affected area once a day until it's gone.

That is quite violent. I agree with the q-tip thing though.
