| Re: Bloated bottom feeder. G day,
My guess the reason you didn't get a reply is because there was not enough information in your original post for anyone to be able to start to help. There are heaps of 'bottom feeders' out there so a name or a photo if you don't know the name would help. what are the parameters of your tank? (ammonia nitrite, nitrate, ph, temp, etc.) If you don't have testing kits you can usually get your local fish store to test your water for you.
Aslo how long has the tank been up and running? is it cycled? Do you have any other fish? Are any other fish affected? How do you do water changes?
There are just so many variables as to why a fish might get sick. We just need a narrower field to work in.
Based on your original post my broad advice is to do small water changes, say 25% using a water conditioner, at least once a week. (which i find is good way to improve many situations anyway.)
Good luck!
