ick!!!!!!!! Help!!

recently one of my tanks has gotten ick, luckily I spotted it when only 2 guppies had it, I started treatment right away usinng quick cure and raising the temp and making larger water changes. A few hours later the ick had spread onto a few other fish. One day later and all of the ick is gone except for the two original guppies. Sounds like everything is going good but I count my neon tetras and notice I only have 5 out of 7. I check everywere for them, but they just dissapeared. Now after doing treatment on day 2, all of a sudden 1 neon has died and another tetra has died, also a gourami isn't looking so good. Unfortunately the test kit has just run out but I know that my ammonia is 0 and my ph is fine. What is going on??

I need help badly, the gourami just died...

Re: ick!!!!!!!! Help!!

well as i learned and everyone else will tell ya, its better not to use chemicals when treating this. you should add 1 tblsp to every 5 gallons water. you did do the rifght thing though by raising temp. it speeds up the lifecycle. what do you water tests look like?

Re: ick!!!!!!!! Help!!

Please go to our articles section and read the article on diagnosing and treating Ich. We recommend the salt (NaCl) and elevated temp. method of treating the whole tank.

Good Luck

Jay
