Green Stomachs?

I have no idea if this is a disease or not, but I'm a tad paranoid. I have a 55gal tank that I thought I had fishless cycled. I added 3 Mangaino's, 3 OB Zebra's, and 3 Socolofi's. My Ammonia has been way to high. I've been doing 50% water changes daily, and have seeded the tank with media from the LFS. Before I introduced the seeded material I noticed that the stomachs on the 3 OB Zebra's were green. Today I think I'm starting to see the same thing on the Mangaino's. I've scoured the web and can find nothing that resembles this. The fish eat fine, and I'll get the Ammonia under control. Could this be internal bleeding? I did find one website with an Aquarist proudly displaying OB Zebra's with the same green stomachs so I might be obsessed over nothing. Anyway I'd rather ask, then spend all my waking hours wondering if I'm slowly watching these guys die.

Re: Green Stomachs?

Nope its perfectly normal it is the algae that the fish are consuning off the rocks and such. Algae is a part of thier diet as well as meats. I notice when the algae gets out of control in my tank the fish tend to get the green stomachs as well.

We'll that's somewhat of a relief. I wonder where the Algae is coming from since I don't have any visible blooms.
