Platy Has A White Mouth

I Love Not Being You

One of my Platy's has white all around her mouth. I know I read somewhere what this is and how to treat it, but now I'm drawing a blank and can't find it. A little help?

sounds like some sort of fungal infection. I would treat it with Pimafix or Melafix, cant remember which one does what, (it'll say on the back) I swear by this stuff

Or it could be an imitation fungus that's actually a bacteria infestation called Columnaris, which gets more common the warmer a tank gets, in the summer months especially.

Pimafix is for fungal, Melafix is reported to have anti-bacterial properties. I say that.... because I'm not convinced it's ever done something for me. :/
