Gourami Skin Disease

In my 38 gallon tank i have 3 gold gouramis and 2 of them have splits in their fins and black stuff growing on their scales and tails. At first i thought it was fin rot but it has gotten progressively worse even with fin rot medication.

I than got fungus medication and tried that out too and it still hasn't changed. What could this be!

You hit the two likly cuases I think. Do you have any pictures that would helkp us see the problem? What are teh water paramters and history of the tank? Any other fish and if so do they have any problems.

well no i don't have any pictures.. but in the tank i have, 10 black neons, 2 bala sharks, 2 angel fish, 2 spikey brown cats, a cory cat, a clown pleco, 8 bleeding heart tetra, All fish are doing well except for the cory cat wich i had to move from my other tank cause he was being eaten by barbs

his injuries are completely unrelated. Its a 38 gallon tank.
