Yesterday I euthanized one of my Zebra Danios in my 10G tank and today another one is showing the same symptoms. It is staying at the top of the tank, not swimming around like the other Danio is (I had 3 total before yesterday). It has a fatter stomach than the active Danio and sometimes kind of leans on its side against the tank. Its side fins are constantly moving, but it itself isn't moving. It doesn't appear to be eating either when I feed the others.
I do have some nitrites in the water (0.5ppm) and that was after a 20% water change yesterday. I figure I can do another water change tomorrow, but I don't think that the nitrite level can be affecting it. The tank is fully cycled (been set up for like 2-3 months now). The nitrate level was near 0, ammonia I didn't test because it wasn't on my test strips. The pH is between 7.5-8.0
I have always thought Danios were one of the hardiest fish around and people even use them to cycle a tank using fish instead of the natural way. I have had these fish approximately 2-3 weeks now.
So anyways, the pictures are very very blurry - I can not get a good side view of the fish, but maybe they are good enough to tell me if the fish has Bloat. I'm having troubles using the insert picture ability, so please just cut and paste if you would.

Also, is Bloat contagious? I hate to sound harsh, but I'd rather not treat an entire tank with a medication if it isn't and my other fish will be fine. I do not currently have a quarantine tank as I am now using it as a maternity tank for my Cichlids. The Danio cost me $.99 and I feel like it's not really worth it to spend tons of money on meds. (I feel horrible saying this...)
