Quick question I'm looking after 4 Pond fish from an outside pond through out the winter and I just noticed that one of the white and orange spotted Goldfish has lost his orange spots and is almost pure white? looks healthy cept for the color change? Any thoughts?

Young goldfish frequently change color entirely or in part. I wouldn't be worried. I've had them turn a blackish blue color also.

While I was dangling a small nephew over the edge to watch the fish eat in the big pond this afternoon, I noticed my orange fantail has grown up, turned a bright snowy white on most of his body and half his tail. The orange has turned to an almost reddish color and is limited to a mohawk style strip down his back and some bright red around his eyes looking like a bad makeup job. Overall the fantail is mostly white now and very striking in appearence.

i have a koi pond with a variety of fish and this is very common ps if it is below 50 degrees outside you should not be feeding the fish

I use a continual flow setup so 65 degree water from my well flows through the pond 24/7. It's stabolized my temperatures year round. No overheating in the summer, no freezing up in the winter. No filters. No UV's. If I have a problem I just increase the flow rate up or down to compensate. No ammonia, stable PH day and night as well as season to season, no phosphate or GH accumulation, no KH reduction, year round growth and viewing pleasure.

My electric bill actually dropped and I've spent no more money on filters, pumps, UV's, chemicals or filter media. Hardly any work at all.
