Exclamation stress or disiese

well i have been working with a filter for the past two days. hands in and out of the tank alot.

i just got done with the filter 4-5 hours ago and was looking at my fish when i noticed the betta just sitting at the bottom. so i put my finger on the tank next to him and he swam away into a decoration. he just came out and went under a airstone and just sat there?
this confuses me, his colors are not fading. he is eating. is he tired, getting a diseise? if it is a diseise what does it sound like so i can treat him immediantly.

Thanks

I wouldnt jump to a big conclusion here and start looking for treatments or meds to add to your tank. I would continue to obseve the fish for a while and see if the behavior continues or other symptoms appear.

My thoughts on keeping bettas in such a large tank like a 120 gallon tank is that it can stress them out much more than one might think since in nature, they are usually found living in small, shallow 'pools' or even puddles. Keeping them in large tanks can stress them, especially if they dont have a good place to hide near the surface of the water. On the same token, keeping them with quick and active fish also sounds to be another 'stressor' as well. I will try to find that information for you as well so you can read it for yourself.
