| I wouldnt jump to a big conclusion here and start looking for treatments or meds to add to your tank. I would continue to obseve the fish for a while and see if the behavior continues or other symptoms appear.
My thoughts on keeping bettas in such a large tank like a 120 gallon tank is that it can stress them out much more than one might think since in nature, they are usually found living in small, shallow 'pools' or even puddles. Keeping them in large tanks can stress them, especially if they dont have a good place to hide near the surface of the water. On the same token, keeping them with quick and active fish also sounds to be another 'stressor' as well. I will try to find that information for you as well so you can read it for yourself. |
