| Re: Midas Blenny - Dark spot on dorsal Mithrax crabs are known to be kind of aggressive once in a while, I have caught mine on several occasions going after some of my fish, I watched him one day trying to catch my fairy wrasse each time it swam by, and I've seen it "jump" at my scooter blenny, I'm sure there has been other times where it has been aggressive that I havn't seen. Also, a wound he inflicted on my batfish eventually ended up in its death, it got stressed from having its fin tore, and the injury weekend it enough to get ich, and he ended up dieing about a week later. The best thing you can do to keep your mithrax from being too aggressive is to put small pieces of algae sheets in the rocks for it to eat, unless you do have a lot of algae for it to graze on, they will usually turn to hunting fish if you don't provide them with something.
And of course, chitown has always said, "crabs are only good with lemon and butter" but they are definately cool little critters, and very helpful with bubble algae, and of course they do have specific care, just like every other marine animal.
