| Coral Beauty w/ Ich The lights came on this morning and she has developed little white spots on her scales. I dont know if I can get her out. She has thins one spot and i cant get to her. So I have been reading about Ich Attack. This first tank will be strickly a fowlr setup only. So I should be good for treating my main tank with it correct?
i will post a picture when my 10k goes on. I want to run out today and get some of this stuff asap! Dont wanna lose her, its only day 3!!! Thanks |

| Re: Coral Beauty w/ Ich Also get some Garlic Extract, or check with your local fish store. Soak her food in it and it will help boost her immune system. Works wonders. And if its going to be a FOWLR only then the Ick Attack will be fine. Good luck

| Re: Coral Beauty w/ Ich I just tested my parameters and everything is normal and no sudden change with anything. I guess this was because of the move. She was in my lfs for like 3 weeks or so. and now another acclimation period probaly has her stressed. fingers crossed. |

| Re: Coral Beauty w/ Ich ICH has nothing to do with parameters. Stress is also not the cause, but a contributing factor, it lowers the imune system making them more likely to be affected by the parasites. Even though you did not see it at the store, it is prob. due to the fact that almost all LFS run low levels of copper in their systems, making it impossible to see if they have ich while they are there, that is why it is so important to QT fish before putting into a display. |

| Re: Coral Beauty w/ Ich Ok thanks. I picked up some seaweed algae by the same ppl that make formula 1. I also got Kent Marine garlic extract so ill start putting a drop of that in with the food. And no lfs has any Ich Attack. I might have to drive 45 min to that other one!!!! AHHHH! QT for all new arrivals is a must from now on!!! Lesson Learned!!! Another one!! |

| Re: Coral Beauty w/ Ich 3 hrs later the tank got its first dose of Ich Attack. I drove 45 mins each way to get this stuff for her. I hope she realizes this!!! And tonight i dose her food with garlic, so well see. i also added an algae sheet so she has her opportunity to eat. But continues to pick at everything in my tank but the food I put in.
NOTE TO SELF: Lesson Learned- Rule #1- Use your QT!!!!!!!! |

| Re: Coral Beauty w/ Ich Good job, that will iradicate the Ick, and help build up her immunity . Plus its been a good, but expensive and timely learning experience for you. Hope she does great, I love Coral Beauties and Flame Angels. In fact thats the reason i started my 2nd tank a few yrs ago. I had a Coral beauty in my 125 and i was dieing for a Flame angel. So i just started up another 70 gal tank!! My wife thinks im crazy?? Does any one else's wifes think that way???
