I sadly have to report that Ich Attack did not rid my Coral Beauty Angelfish of marine Ich. After about 6 or 7 days of single doses, still no results. Ich would disappear or a day and then come back even worse! After a week I started to double dose for an additional 5-6 days and still nothing. Still had visible spots and possibly internal parasites aswell. Im not doubting the product just didnt see amazing results!

I know it has worked for some people but it seems to be 50/50 at best. If it worked all the time it would have been news throughout the hobby and the breeders would start using it insead of copper as would LFS's but they dont use it, they just sell it. Hopefully the new approach you are taking with a QT and copper will provide the result you are looking for.

i wounder if a fresh water bath could help my fish? he has what looks like whiteish gray spots.. more like blotchy not salted ..you can only see the under certain light angles he aslo has been acting weird, by weird i mean he sits under the water return and he is kinda sideways but when u get close to glass he swims away like he is ok then he goes right back...parasite maybe? can someone help!! he is the only fish in tank with live rock so could i treat the hole tank?

Well if you have live rock in your tank then you are limited on what you can treat your tank with. Copper is out of the question in your display tank. You may want to try Ich Attack or ather products out there, that wont harm any micro organisms or corals and such. They seem to work half of the time as stated above.

You best option is to set up a hospital tank ASAP. Doesnt have to be anything spectacular. Just a 10 g tank, air stone/power filter, heater, and thermometer. In the hospital tank(HT) use 5 gallons from your display tank and 5 pre mixed aged water. The quicker you react the more of a chance your fish as to live..... if it is parasites....

Once you have your Ht set up then you can start dosing copper in it. Keep in mind that copper is harmful to even fish in heavy doses. You may want to also pick up a copper test kit to make sure your levels are safe.

Copper is one way many hobbiest are ridding Ich from fish. Now thats not to say that your display tank is free of Ich. Ich life cycle itself may last up to 8 weeks. Some to make sure you rid your display tank of Ich, you must keep it host free. Parasites need a host to survive....

Freshwater baths are just a quick relief for infested fish, a short term fix. A HT may run you $30-35 max.. Money well spent.....
