| seabae!!!!! im crying right now!!! my seabae has that disease that pretty much eats his face!!! i know there are two ways to tryyyy to get rid of it but, i know its a long shot. i guess i have to face it , i cant truly do anything!! im gonna miss him so much. melynda

| Re: seabae!!!!! its a disease i cant prononce. hes eating well, very active, in his anenome all the time my lfs said its a common disease ocean fish have!!what is is dr, fraganstein? sounds like what your asking is what my boyfriend has read about symptoms?
his symptoms are big lower lip, black pattern spots on his body,blacker face!!
no fish affected!!

| Re: seabae!!!!! The only "clownfish only" disease I can think of is brooklynella, but that will cause excess slime coat, lethargy, refusing to eat and spots similar to marine velvet(amyloodinium). It attacks the gills so you might see slime in the gill area. It also causes lesions starting on the head. Acriflavine is pretty effective in treatment, either use reef safe revive or QT and treat w/ acriflavine, but do it FAST if you want him to make it!!

| Re: seabae!!!!! Its alright, you can relax, parasites happen to the best of us! The "nice" thing about brooklynella is it only affects clowns, do you have a QT tank? You can ask your LFS if they carry REVIVE its a good reef safe med thats pretty effective on brooklynella. |
