Feeding my new tank inhabitants

I just added a Crocea Clam and a large Moon Coral to my 125.

Nitrates, Nitrites, Amnonia, Phosphates are all zero.
Calcium is over 400.
Ph is 8.2 Salinity is .024

I am lighting with a 1134 watt fixture. 10 hours of actinic and 8 hours of MH.

I supplement iodine, calcium, trace elements, and strontium.

I am trying to feed them a slurry of phytoplankton and arcti pods, but am unsure how to do it.

I know the moon coral should extend tentacles and accept food, but nothing is sticking to the tentacles.

As for the clam. I just don't know when he is accepting food. I take it right down to him in a syringe but really can't tell if he is feeding.

Can some experienced folks out there offer some advice?

You won't be able to see the clam eat, it just sits there and filters food out of the water that flows through it. I'm not familiar the with the moon coral.

Chad is right, the clam is a filter feeder and should be fed filter feeding food and phyoto of some sort.

The moon should extend feeding tentacles shortly after the lights go out. Monitor 1-2 hours after lights out, then target feed.

FYI, both can rely mostly on photosythesis but target feeding will boost health and growth.

Thanks for the replies!

The moon must not have been hungry last night. I thought I saw feeding tentacles, but was mistaken. A few popped up today so I know what to look for now.

Thanks again!
