Well... i bought some live rock for a tank i'm still cycling about a month ago... other day a little feather duster thing popped up. Is this common? Should i feel special?

Also... what do i feed the thing? Can i buy the zooplankton in a bottle? If i dont get food for it till next weekend... will it die?

I wouldnt go out and spend any money on phyto, it should feed just fine without the phyto. They are very common on live rock.
