Can I put these pieces of dead coral, urchin skeleton and sea bisquet (ive had them for several years) in the new 29 gal SW tank? if so, clean them with 1 part bleach and 19 parts tap water. or RO water?

Hey There Orb, things are looking good. I really love that stand. Where did you get it? Was it a packaged deal? I have not seen one like it before. I think your coral skeletons will be fine as long as you rinse really good, especially if they have been around furniture polish or anything else like that. If they have been sitting out for a period of time as decorations then air freshner and all kinds of things might build up after a while. I'm just trying to think ahead and what kind of stuff might be on my knick knacks. I think they would look good in your tank though. Do you have it all kind of planned out in your head yet?

Re: pics of decisions completed

tx Judge, slowly but surely. salinity is 1.022 again today. darn close

I ordered the stand from petco. they had the best price and I found some discounts. I really liked it and said "what the h..."

I have it planned out in my head, but the yellow damsel seems to have other ideas. He/she has blown out a bunch of sand in one corner, clear to the bottom. I bought a little piece of live rock and straightened out the sand, I thought maybe a hiding place was needed. Oh noooo says little guy, lol He/she must have spent all day swishing the sand out with his/her tail. Im going to hold off buying the live white sand to put in there till I figure out what the problem is.

There is a little critter in the tank!! Its too far back to get a picture of it, It moves, but real slow. brown and sorta round is about all I can describe it as.

I may not put the urchin skelton in the tank, its far too think, I have another one, but its a lot bigger, and really isnt part of the plan, but we'll see

decisions decisions Im spending a lot more time with this tank than I did with the first 10 gal. This is so exciting.
