VHOs for acros???????

hey guys long time no posting. i been busy workin and getting stuff ready for my move and wedding day. i was goin to keep this under wraps until i got it repainted and stuff fixed on it but im getting a 100gal acrylic reef ready tank with stand canopy ice cap vho ballast sump heaters pump sump pretty much everything for 300. anyways it has the VHO on the canopy and i was wondering if that would be enough for acros if i put them at the very top of my rock work or would i have upgrade to 2x250 or 2x400 watt MH with 2 or 4 actinic VHO at 48in each?

i have always thought that MH were the only kind of lights u could use for acro's am i wrong or can u use VHOs
