| new to salt bunch of questions ok i have a planted freshwater tank for about a year and want to set up a 120 G reef with a 55G sump..
i bought lights for it today a coralife fixture with 2 150W MH lights and 4-65W compact flourences and all the bulbs for 450
i dont have the tank yet but couldnt pass up the light deal
the guy at the LFS is a good guy but his prices on some stuff are fairly high but my buddy who just set up a 220G freshwater tank gets HUGE hookups there and i want to support the little guy stores as opposed to chainstores
the 120 G tank has dual overflows and he wants 500 cash for it brand new. im thinking since i wanna do this right the first time i want to have a clsoed loop system and inquired about getting additional holes drilled and price.... he said if i buy the tank from him he will drill all the holes i want for free.
ive been looking a little bit online and cant seem to find too many 120 G (4x2x2) tanks for sale so is this a good price for the tank with both overflows and drilled for CLS??
what is in your list of dosing things from trace element to a full spectrum supplement?. For my planted tank ive stuck with Seachem and am happy with their product
i dont know too much about skimmers but what the best skimmer for my tank size? i was thinking of an ASM.....what are your opinions on this brand?
heaters... are 2 -200W heaters enough to heat the water? i am going to get/order an extra for heating water when mixing salt but do not know if i need to order 3 or 4 the house is generally 74F(23C) in winter and about 68F(20C) in summer with the AC...
for the CLS im not really certain on how i want it does anyone have suggestions....ie 2- 1`` holes out and`maybe 4 half inch or three quarter inch holes for return to tank
any help or ideas are greatly appreciated |
