New Setup Suggestions.

Here's what I have setup and I've just added 40lbs of reg sand and plan to add 40 lbs live after the salinity is correct. Any suggestions on what I may have done wrong? (or right) Hopefully this will show up and isn't too confusing. I'm using the ball valves to regulate the flow into the tank. I read it was best to give the refugium claen water from the skimmer so I plumbed the pump that feeds the skimmer from the overflow water. The plan is to put live rock chunks in the overflow box to help reduce bubbles. I added the salt last night and am still waiting for the sand cloud to reside. It's much better than yesterday.
How much sand do you put in the refugium?

What type of filter do youuse in the sump?

Does the refugium, live rock in the tank and sand become the filter?

Does the pump for the skimmer need to be closer?

The MJ won't pump good enough with that distance from the skimmer. The remora is also only good for up to around 55g. Definately can't handle a 110 or whatever it is.

Will it work with a bigger pump? The Aqua C site states it will work over 75 gallons but with a Mag3 pump. Have you had experience with this? Are they pushing the limits of this skimmer? I have it on a 40g breeder tank made into a sump but I know it's filtering a 110g.

Re: New Setup Suggestions.

The remora pro is the one that's rated over 75 gallons with the mag3. I have had the remora and the remora pro, the pro is a ton better!
