What do you guys think about the nano Cube fish tanks?

It would be my first tank and i am thinkning to set it up as a reef aquarium.
I will buy a used one, that was used for fresh water, but now empty.

Any considerations about cycling and set up???

Welcome to the forum! You have come to the right place. The best place to start, in my opinon, is by browsing through some of the 'sticky' articles that our wonderful super moderators have set up. I would take a look into the saltwater threads to find good info on how to cycle a tank and what you will need to consider. After that, I am sure you will be full of a whole new set of questions and you can always just ask away. There is no such thing as a dumb question, especially in this hobby!!!!

cmiani2002,
Welcome to the froum

I have a nano cube 24 and love it. I have one small problem but the LFS is taking care of it. My fan on the lights makes a noise sometimes. It is easily removable and can be replaced. I have also read that the Nano12s had an issue where electricity could go from one cord to another and shock someone if it was not plugged into the outlet. I do not think that problem exists on the 24 and they made it right via a recall and repair.

The system is nicely compact - has most of what you need. The curved glass is great. The lighting is reasonable. For some it might be a bit restrictive in that all the components are built in and more or less preselected for you. That has not been a problem for me. Right now I am mostly just fish and inverts.

As Tommy suggested I would encourage you to read the stickies and be sure you really understand them. Post questions and discuss anything that does not make complete sense.

Question need help with lighting "Nano cube"

I have a 24 gallon nano cube, I had it as a salt water tank, but now it is a fresh water tank. My question is where can I buy bulbs for fresh water for the nano cube? Pet store can not get the lights and ebay do not have them either. Please help!!!!!

I would try the manufacturer's website as they might have some replacement parts available or even a tech support hotline or email system where you can ask questions. Most companies are very good at offering this type of service since it generates repeat customers.
