temp 81????

My salty is at 76 degrees. Ok, another mistake, I would like a suggestion on how much of a increase and how often.

Ive been so pleased with how steady the 76 degrees has been. I think this might be why my fire mouth and 2 snails have died. Im freezing them to death.!

29gal

fluval 205, 20 lb rock, 40 lb sand. Fish active.

Re: temp 81????

What do you mean by how often to increase? I would adjust your heater to like 80 degrees and let it warm up the tank naturally.

For marine tanks I would say 80-84 but that's just me and well, many marine biologists!

Good luck orb

Hey there Orb..I would say that 76 is a little cool. I maintain between 80-81. Your heater is not going to make any sudden changes so just adjust and let it do it's stuff. I think most would agree that low 80's is a good temp.
