Question Mixing water = white mixing tank.

I dont know If im doing something wrong or its the salt im using. But I use seachem reefsalt, and whenver it mixes up, it leaves my 10 gallon fish tank covered in white stuff. anyone have a clue why its doing this? My instant ocean sea salt never did this.....

Thanks everyone

Jason

That doesnt sound right, I have never used that salt and it has not happened to me with reef crystals. Google search your problem and see if you can come up with something.

Re: Mixing water = white mixing tank.

I just called seachem technical support, spoke to a very nice lady (sounded very pretty) who said its completely normal becasue of the calcium and magnesium in the salt. The salt mixxes up clearly, but i guess the calcium and mag in the water leaves some on the sides.

Thanks for the help!

Hey Jason,

I would just make sure the salt is mixed really well before adding it in...

Re: Mixing water = white mixing tank.

I mixxed the water/salt with a MJ1200 in a 10 gallon tank for 2 days. This is very strange, might not be buying seachem anymore. lol
