Question Live rock turned green. Algae? If so what type and what to do?

I'm new to the forum so bear w/me.

I've tried the search function and not found much of anything that sounds like my exact condition.

1 1/2 months ago I changed lights and went from a single flourescent bulb to a double bulb system with about 4 times the wattage (or whatever you call it)...

Anyways, at the time of the change I was having some red slime problems so I added a power head to the tank and positioned it a little closer to the live rock. It's been about 3 weeks now and my live rock has turned green. I've been testing levels on everything I can think of and everything is pretty much normal. (Possibly more light contributing to the problem...)

Ran a phosphate treatment because I thought that may be lending to the problem but no luck there either. I'm really confused as to what it is and I don't want to look at green rock anymore so any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

P.S. Yes I use R/O water in my tank only. No tap in my tank...

Is the green hard like purple coralline? If so it could be green coralline.

Much more info is needed. How long has the tank been up? What kind of lighting? Are the bulbs full spectrum? What is each bulb i.e. 7500k, 10,000k etc. The green nuisance algae favors lower "k" values so this is important. Let us know.

I agree with Jed, much more info is needed. Also, what are your water parameters? Some pictures would do wonders too!
