Fish Issue

I am forced to clean my tank weekly due to extra food (i believe) floating and molding. I believe I also have a fungus-ish issue. No matter what I do (including feeding less) i still end up with a gross cloudy tank that I must clean weekly.

Re: Fish Issue

I wouldn`t use an automatic feeder on that size aquarium. With just two fish you shouldn`t be using hardley any food. Maybe a couple of flakes a day. You`r set up sounds great and it`s stocked pretty good! A .90 oz can of food should last you about a year or longer. Or a good rule of thumb is feed only what your fish can eat in a couple of min. (To me that is a little TOO much).

Re: Fish Issue

I would also rec. you syphon the substrate VERY well, due the the larger size of gravel, particles will get trapped in the stones and decay creating a bloom and nitrate spike. Also what kind of lighting do you have and how old are the bulbs?
