Junk.

Look at the CPR hangon, or the Aqua C. I never was a big fan of the prizm.

I need something for a 125g SW tank FOWLR possibly a soft coral and polyps. I hate shopping for protein skimmers...there are so many.

Are you using a sump? What kind of filtration do you have? If you want another type of hang-on here is another alternative.

I don't know much about them, but a friend of mine runs one on a 75 gallon tank and loves it.

Well my tank is on order. It has a wet/dry/sump.
In reading on these forums I know how important skimmers can be so I wanna do it right. When the wet/dry comes in I can see how much room I have to play with. I know most go right into the sump.

These guys come highly recommended too:

Yeah, I would think an in-sump setup would be better than an hang-on...if nothing more than visual aesthics since it would be hidden from view.

I second the ASM's dollar for dollar they are the most efficent you can get without spending enough to get a second mortgage. The turboflator's are also pretty good but for a few bucks more, get the ASM abd you wont have to worry about upgrading again.

actually, i had good luck getting one from an ebay company... works really well on my 55, my only complaint is that its just a litttleee bit big, and if you use the sponge on the outflow tube it backs the flow up and makes it less effecient, check out ebay express, i believe the company was catfish lighting supplies, for $50 i really don't think you can beat it...

however don't take my word as gospel, i have only had experience with one other skimmer, a seaclone 100... which was not very good.

My skimmer has flow/water level adjustment, and air adjustments, comes with sponges for intake, and out, but like I said better off leaving the outflow sponge off, makes a nice thick nasty dark green goo

you can also set it up for hang on, or in sump
