| Algea colors Can someone post a link to the thread that has the different stages with typical colors of the algea?
My tank has been running for 3 weeks and im just starting to get my first signs of algea which is a brown-ish color. Also should i be sucking this out of the tank?

| That is a normal stage, I dont know of a good link, but I have been throught it many times. You will also prob. get a hair algae stage the is usually red, but can also be green and possibly a black algae aftee that. Not all tanks have the exact same types, shades, colors etc. as well as time frame to cycle through them, it depends on parameters, feeding habits, livestock filtration, etc. etc. etc.
