White Splotches on back glass

Recently I have noticed some white splotches on the back glass of 140gl. The tank is has been reset for about a month now. I bought it from my brother in law. We kept all the original sand. He had it up for over 4 years. These splotches appear almost as circles of hardened salt that you will sometimes on the edges of the tank where salt escapes. While visiting the pet store the other day I noticed that alot of the tanks were completely covered in these splotches, however most were red and green.So I'm just wondering if this is good or bad? Thanks.

does anyone ever read anything on this board? no disrespect but usually the urgency is utmost important wit SW tanks. Does anyone know a board that will actually get faster responses? This is my second post of a problem and have had 0 responses. The last post I had is a few weeks old now and still nothing.

Not sure why the frustration

. We are all here as fellow hobbiest to share info with one another. I tend to read a respond to most posts where I fal I can contribute. Others do this as well - personal opinion is it is better to refrain from a response when I have limmited experiance on a specific issue.

That said I looked at the prior posts and Judge answered your initial post with several querstions in less than an hour after you made it. I hope you agree with my sense that is very good responsiveness

. You made a post that was a bit confused saying the edit works and no new data so there was nothing to work with really.

On this particular topic I am not sure what you are seeign. The ones at the pet store are probably coraline alge which is a good thing to have. I have never seen that in a white color so I have no real idea what you are seeing. Can you post a picture, a better histroy of the tank including current water parameters
