| Re: Clean Tank Glass Although I keep magna-floats in all the tanks to do quick ad-hoc algae scrubs... I'm using (aquarium-specific) razor scrapers because not even the largest magnets (supposedly rated for 300gal tanks) are strong/aggressive enough to take coralline off my front glass. "In a past life" I've used countless razorblades on glass to peel tint, clean adhesives off, etc... it's nearly impossible to scratch as long as you've got the entire edge of the blade against the glass and not one corner.
Regarding cleaners on the outside ... only use the cleaners on the glass itself. It will not absorb into the glass, but it can absorb into the silicon sealants between the glass panels.
